Fourteen events, including shooting a short film (we will be posting that up as soon as it is available for viewing), two overnight events with the Young Friends of the British Museum, a book launch, a primary school visit and a couple of old favourites (Broadwood Kelly and Bodmin Heritage Day.)
We have attended talks given by Jody Joy, Miranda Green and Sir Barry Cunliffe around the Didcot Mirror we helped raise awareness for last year at The Oxfordshire Museum and brought a flavour of Iron Age life to an archaeological dig at Ipplepen.
In preparation, and as a bit of a recruitment drive, we are holding an open day at Belstone Village Hall on Saturday 21st November to let people come and meet us and discuss joining while we're not busy putting on a show. With authentic materials bought in to help get new members started we hope to increase our numbers a little, although our focus will always be on quality rather than quantity, and we are proud that for a group averaging five members (and a dog!) for most events we can put on such an entertaining and engaging show!
Here's to the past. Here's to the future!
